Who We Are – Our Story

Food Solutions Limited (FSL) is Ireland’s leading provider of premium beverage brands to the restaurant, bar and catering industries. For more than 15 years our story has been about sourcing and supplying the world’s best coffee, syrups, teas, chocolate, and equipment to Irish businesses of all sizes. We are Ireland’s exclusive supplier of illy, Monin, Clipper, Drink Me Chai and Monbana brands, as well as Astoria and Francis Francis coffee machines.

More than a supplier, FSL prides itself on building long-term relationships with our customers. We offer a broad suite of services, including distribution, training, technical support and demonstrations to enable our clients to fulfill their dreams of building sustainable and profitable businesses.

The company is headquartered in our new 16,500sqft office in Dundalk, Co. Louth. We currently have 20 talented and dedicated employees based in Dundalk and across Ireland.

January 3

Food Solutions Was Incorporated

Food Solutions Was Incorporated

Food Solutions Ltd was incorporated. The directors were Richard and Joan Martin who brought illy caffe to Ireland. They started the company from their home in Dundalk and then grew the company very successfully over the following 11 years.

2003
January 11

Richard Retires

The time came for Richard to retire at the age of 67. His daughter and son-in-law decided to purchase the business from him. The existing premises had become too small for the growing business of illy caffe. Food Solutions moved a short distance away to a new premises of 1500sqft.

Continued Success

Food Solutions maintains high sales along with an increased interest in coffee and the emergence of the coffee scene within Ireland

Upgraded Premises and Sole Distribution Rights Win

Upgraded Premises and Sole Distribution Rights Win

After 8 years it was time for yet another move (into a 6000sqft space) in order to accommodate the continuing expansion of the company. This coincided with winning the sole distribution rights of Monin syrups and flavours within Ireland.

16,500sqft Property Purchase

An opportunity arose to purchase and refurbish a local property of 16,500sqft. The timing of the purchase was ideal as Food Solutions was expanding in terms of turnover, workforce and rebranding (FSL).
